Meet The Team
Dr. George Khalil
Dr. Khalil moved all the way from Cairo, Egypt to the US, where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2005. From there he began his veterinary career and gained experience in a variety of hospital settings working alongside some of the nation's best veterinarians. In 2012, Dr. Khalil collaborated with two colleagues to own and operate Bloomington Animal Hospital, located in Bloomington, IN. In October 2018, Dr. Khalil followed his longing desire to live near the sunny beaches of Jacksonville, Florida and began his position at Normandy Boulevard Animal Hospital as owner/veterinarian.
Dr. Khalil is passionate about keeping his ancient, Coptic Egyptian origin alive. He and his family are active members of the Coptic Orthodox Christian Church of Jacksonville.
Dr. Khalil enjoys boating around the St. Johns River and has recently developed an interest in fishing. He, his wife and two little ones often spend the weekend soaking up the rays at the local beaches.
Look out for college basketball or football season! You will never fail to hear Dr. K boast on a win by his alma mater, the Purdue Boilermakers ( Boiler Up!)
